Instructions: |

Cookies |

1.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cheese and salt. |
|
2. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles course crumbs. |
|
3.
Stir in milk. |
|
4.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. |
|
|

Filling |
|
|
|
5.
Combine jam, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl and stir to blend. |
|
6.
Stir in walnuts. |
|
Assemble |
|
|
|
1.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/8". |
|
2.
Using a 1.50" round cookie cutter, cut out an even number of cookies. |
|
3.
Place a spoonful of filling in the center of half the cookies. |
|
4.
Place the remaining cookies on top and seal the edges. |
|
5.
Place 1" apart on lightly greased cookie sheets. |
|
6.
Bake for 12 to 15 min., until lightly colored. |
